Subject of this design project is the creation of an architectural landmark as well as a functional observation-facility in the Hamburg freight port.
Inspired by Hamburg’s shipping history and the extensive port facilities that shape the city's skyline, we have developed the idea of a container structure consisting of three standard industrial shipping containers. 
The containers are simply stacked on top of each other and individually rotated on the center axis. A cutout and ladder connect the cubicles vertically. Each container features a small multipurpose room that can, for example, be used for exhibitions. To create a focused, binocular-like outlook, the doors of the top container have been removed and replaced by large windows, featuring a small balcony area. 
Due to its basic and reversible construction the object is easily transferable onto other locations and various purposes.
